Chinese Export Silver trophy as Brandy Snifter atop a dragon entwined stem. Engraved
“Clarence School” Division A. M.I. Gass & June 3 on the flaming pearl itself w/1922
engraved below. This elaborately decorated and unusually heavy cup was part of the
GASS estate in Walnut Creek, California.. marked Luen Wo and Chinese ideogram. The
dragon encircling the gilded (interior) bowl itself is also cast and applied and not chased
from w/in. Slight tilt due to a half inch solder break at the junction of stem/base due to
collapsion caused by excessive force having been exerted by a celebrant in slamming this
piece down to the table. Not a difficult repair. (for the silver, not the drunk) Height 6 1/4”,
